How pages on this site are written and labeled, and what we do when something is wrong.

Two kinds of page
Advertisements promote a product or service. Every advertising page says “Advertisement” at the top, we may be paid when you use a link on it, and it is left out of our site listings, our sitemap, and our llms.txt file.
Guides are any pages not labeled as advertising. A guide can still contain a link we earn a commission from. If it does, the page says so.
Bylines and credentials
Pages are published under the Driving Directions For You byline by Bird Rock Trading LLC. We don't credit pages to individual experts, and we don't claim professional driving-instruction, legal, or automotive credentials. If a named person ever reviews a page, the page will name them.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI writing tools to help draft and edit pages. Being written with AI help doesn't make a page more or less accurate, so it doesn't change what we ask of it: instructions should work, and specific facts should come with a source you can check.
Sources and dates
When a guide relies on a specific fact, such as a traffic rule, a product feature, or a number, it lists where that fact came from in a Sources section. Map and navigation apps change their menus often, so each page shows when it was published and when it was last genuinely updated. We don't change those dates without changing the page.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, such as steps that no longer match an app or a fact that's out of date, tell us through our contact page. When we make a significant correction to a page, we update its date.
